Career Focus
Choose a career wisely — before you choose a course.
Compiled by Martina Williams, the TUCSIN Career Focus Newsletters provide career guidance to TUCSIN students and to the wider public, creating awareness of career fields learners may not know and showing how to plan for tertiary education.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, unemployment is partly attributable to mismatches between acquired skills and job-related needs, because students make career choices that are not relevant to the job market. Selecting a future career is a process that can be done professionally through career guidance and vocational counselling.
